In Inuvik, Northwest Territories it is a day to celebrate our local Metis, Gwich'in, Inuvialuit people and cultures. Events normally include traditional drumming, dancing and foods. So come join us in Chief Jim Koe Park to get an authentic taste of what the North has to offer.
Run under the Midnight Sun in the Annual 5km, 10Km or Half Marathon
The Annual Midnight Sun Fun Run normally takes place on the weekend closest to the Summer Solstice. This event features a friendly noncompetitive atmosphere and community spirit!

While a bit different each year, Midnight Madness takes place on the weekend just before the Summer Solstice.
Typical events include community workshops, dances, concerts, the first Arctic Market of the season, events, contests & competitions, food vendors and more. We suggest following the Town of Inuvik Facebook page for detailed and local information.
