Visiting the Town Office while in Inuvik is a must. Not only will you be able to pick up some valuable resources that will help you explore our town, but you can also pick up your Order of Arctic Adventures Certificate signed by the Mayor and a souvenir pin. Stop by the Parks Canada office to learn more about the amazing experiences to be had in Ivvavik National Park, Aulavik National Park, Tuktut Nogait National Park and the Pingo Canadian Landmark. Call/stop by to book a base camp trip or to learn more about our incredible parks and the wildlife that lives there. Western Arctic Regional Visitor Centre |
If you have never visited the area before, then a quick stop at the Western Arctic Regional Visitor Centre will provide you with all the information you need. Located on Mackenzie Road as soon as you enter town, the Visitor Centre contains many interesting exhibits on art, flora and fauna, neighbouring communities and wildlife. You can also pick up your official Arctic Circle Adventurer Certificate here. The Centre is open from June to September and hosts weekly events based around Northern culture.
