On March 9 - 15 2008, the Arctic Winter Games will make it's return to Yellowknife in Canada's Northwest Territories for the 20th anniversary of this celebration of sport and culture. The theme of the 2008 Arctic Winter Games, Northern Star- Inspired by dreams, recognizes the great potential of youth. Northern youth can achieve at the highest level if only they dream. The Arctic Winter Games provides a performance platform to encourage their dreams and promote their journey of personal success, and an opportunity for the participants to compete in friendly competition while sharing cultural values from circumpolar regions around the world.
